Policies and Information​

Check-in begins at 3:00 pm, if you will be arriving after our normal business hours please let our office know so we can provide you with arrival instructions. Check-out is at 11:00 am.

Your credit card will be charged one night’s rent plus applicable taxes to secure your reservation. The remaining balance will automatically be charged  (14) fourteen days before arrival.

If you need to cancel your reservation you will receive a full refund if canceled more than fourteen (14) days before your scheduled arrival. If the cancellation is made fourteen days or less prior to arrival, or if you do not arrive as scheduled, no refund will be issued.

We have partnered with Red Sky Travel Insurance to provide Sun Trip Preserver® coverage for our guests. The optional coverage provides trip insurance, emergency assistance, and travel services in case of hurricane evacuations and family emergencies such as illness or death in the family. Bluff Shoal does not allow pets. For our travelers looking for pet-friendly accommodations we suggest our sister property The Anchorage Inn, The Anchorage Inn is also located on Ocracoke, just down the road for us, and allows pets for select rooms. Trained service animals are exempt from this policy.

Bluff Shoal is a smoke-free environment. Guests are asked to smoke only on designated grounds and to properly dispose of cigarette butts. Smoking and vaping in rooms is strictly prohibited. A cleaning charge of $200 will be assessed if there has been smoking in a guest room.

Complimentary wifi access is provided to all guests.
