The motel has recently completed a full refresh, including updated room furnishings and amenities, a new community back deck, and the return of the beloved harbor/waterfront deck—perfect for relaxing and watching the village harbor come to life.

Inside you’ll find two full-size beds, a full ceramic bath with tub and shower, plus the essentials for an easy stay: complimentary WiFi, a flat-screen TV with cable, microwave, mini refrigerator, and a Keurig coffee maker for your morning cup before exploring.

Enjoy the simple convenience of parking right at your door, then unwind with a book or a little people-watching from the open front porch. Small historic village on Ocracoke Island — quiet, walkable streets with local shops, cafés and seafood restaurants clustered near Silver Lake Harbor. Nearby highlights include Ocracoke Lighthouse, Silver Lake Harbor, the village waterfront, and quick access to island beaches and Cape Hatteras National Seashore.

The village is highly walkable (most places within a mile). Bikes and golf carts are common rentals and practical for short distances; car parking exists but can be limited. Taxis, island shuttles and limited private shuttle services operate seasonally. There is a small public bus/shuttle seasonally and informal bicycle repair/rental shops in town. The island airport (Ocracoke Airport, W95) handles private charters only; there are no scheduled commercial flights.

Guests have private access to their assigned room or apartment, with convenient parking near the unit. During your stay, you’re also welcome to enjoy all shared Bluff Shoal spaces, including:
